The gift that keeps on giving!

Last Halloween I purchased an enormous afro wig that has since been the center of MANY good laughs! It's been used for my Halloween costume twice. It's been trimmed for an amazing prank. It's been worn out for everyday shopping and while tagging peoples cars. It's been topic of many conversations and jokes. As you can now see, we have put it to great use once again!

My friend Megen says that Paige looks like a cabbage patch doll. If this doesn't make her look like one, I don't know what would!

We tried to get Hayzen to put the wig on because we thought it would go great with his ensemble, which he picked out himself. HAHA!
You can see him very emphatically opposing the wig!

Now Paige has gone from a Cabbage Patch doll, to a Troll doll!

..and so has Kutler!

Lindsay and I still have a hard time believing that these two were born on the same day. Not only because it was unbelievable that it happened, but also because Kutler is so much bigger than Paige. You can totally tell how much bigger Kutler is when hold him and then hold Paige. She is so dainty and I call him "The Tank". I love that they, as well as Lindsay and I, have such a special bond because of their birth. Obviously, they are both adorable and you can't resist kissing their little cheeks! I love these babies to pieces!!

1st Day of Kindergarten

McKenzie started her first day of Kindergarten at Mesa Elementary on August 16th. It was bitter sweet for me because she is now away from home more than she is at home. I miss her sweet smile and seeing her play so nicely with Adrie. It's been a very good thing for her though and she is thriving! She jumps out of bed, excited for another day at school! In her class this year, she has 2 girls that were in her Preschool class last year, 2 boys that are in her Primary class and then her best friend Kylie that lived across the street. I was able to take her to her classroom the first day and get a couple of pictures. I did much better than I expected too, I only shed a few tears. I thought I was going to have a meltdown when I dropped her off. Adrie has also done better than I thought she would. I figured she would totally miss Kenzie while she was at school, but she plays so good by herself. She's actually better behaved too, no one to fight with! I've enjoyed having more one on one time with her too. I'm SOO blessed to be home and get to share special experiences with my girls everyday.

This is McKenzie's best friend, Kylie. She used to live across the street, unfortunately she recently moved. We were SO excited when we found out they would be in the same class!

Ready for Church

While I was waiting for McKenzie to get her dress on I took the opportunity to snap some cute shots of Adrie and Paige, they're the easy ones to get ready!

I LOVE this headband! It's just a cut up stocking. The best part is that the bows can be changed!

Ryan and I have had to take the paints away from the girls more than once. For some reason, they are never content to paint on their coloring books. They would much rather play "make-up" on themselves and Hayzen or should I say, especially Hayzen!!

Oh look, it's Cinderella!Hayzen not only enjoys playing make-up with the girls, he also likes the dress-ups. Too funny!

McKenzie's Birthday

It's hard to believe that McKenzie turned 5 this year! We had a small family party with presents and ice cream and hostess cupcakes. It was nothing too fancy, but we had fun just being together!

Paige's Blessing Day

On Sunday, May 30th Paige was blessed at church. Her uncle Matt Albrecht was able to bless her. It was such a special blessing and of course I was bawling. We are so lucky to have him so close to us. Here are some of the adorable pictures I took before we left.

I'm WAY behind!!

I know I haven't updated our blog in a LONG time! I've been editing pictures lately so I'll be updating it soon! I have SOOO many great things to document and feel bad for getting so behind! I can't wait for everyone to see all the fun we've had here at the Wasek house! We love all of you tons!

Adrie's First Haircut

After 2 years, Adrie's mullet had to go! I took her to get her haircut by the lady that does my hair. She didn't like it and cried half the time, even though she had a cartoon to watch. She started to calm down while her hair was being blow dried and was happy as a clam by the time my hair was done. She was so excited to show her papa her cute haircut when we got home. She definitely looks so cute with this little bob!

Snow in New Mexico

At the end of November there was a snow storm that brought several inches of snow. The girls and I were very excited because we had been missing the UT snow. After I had gotten the girls ready for church on Sunday, I thought it would be cute to get some pics of the girls outside. They were good sports even though it was pretty cold! It was still snowing when I took the pictures so they didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped. It was still fun to document all the snow we got in NM!
