Good Bye Utah, Hello New Mexico

On Sunday April 19th, we loaded the girls in the car and left Art and Shirley's house to go drop Ryan off at the Uhaul truck and trailer. At about 8:30 am we began our LONG, two day journey to Clovis, New Mexico. We had the car stocked with a dvd player, LOTS of coloring books and crayons, treats of all kinds, a goody bad from Grandma Shirley with snacks and movies and two bags if Sunflower seeds for me. The first day we drove for about 10 hours, stopping a couple of times to let the girls get out and run around. We ended our first day in Durango, CO where we stayed at a hotel. As Ryan was opening the door, McKenzie asked quite excitedly, "Is this our new house?"
The next morning we started about the same time, but ended up having a few more stops than the day before. The girls did SOO well, but the second day was much harder for them. Thank goodness for the DVD player because that kept them occupied the most! We pulled into our neighborhood at about 6:00 Monday evening. I was so excited to see the house because it was so cute. We now live on a dead end street and have acres and acres of just grass behind our house. It is so quiet!! The video below is our first walk through our new house. I'll post a couple of other videos soon. Even though I was already SO homesick and bawling as we drove through Clovis, I am very grateful for the opportunity we have to be here.
